    Morocco advances to the semi-final after beating Portugal 1-0

    For the first time in the history of football, Morocco advanced into the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup after winning 1-0 over Portugal to become the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. During the first half, Youssef En-Nesyri played the hero role for the injury-hit Atlas Lions, who extended their fairytale run at Qatar 2022 by scoring a spectacular goal – a brilliant header to set up the game.
